Grievance Committee Positions
This committee supports enforcement of the contract. It is a very important body, but meetings are irregular and typically infrequent. They meet to discuss any grievances that have been denied at lower levels and the member wants to pursue them. Meetings are usually one or two per year. No work outside of meetings. Political Action Committee
This committee has taken on a variety of causes. This fall we will be working on the School Committee roundtables on Social Emotional Learning and Elementary Staffing. We may get more involved with MTA's work on the Foundation Budget (adequate funding for public education) and High stakes Testing. This committee did some great work last year, including organizing Engaging Educators: Conversations about race among Cambridge Educators, and initiating affinity base Employee Resource groups.
