NEA, MTA and CTQ Teacher Leadership Institute Fellowship Applications Open

The Teacher Leadership Institute is a cohort-based learning experience that runs from October 2018 to August, 2019.  Its aim is to prepare classroom teachers for leadership roles.  Each cohort consists of about 300 participants from around the country honing their expertise and engaging in leadership work in schools, associations and state houses. 2018 NEA National Leadership Summit

The summit will be held March 16-18 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, 151 East Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL. The MTA has 14 slots available that are NEA-funded. The cost of registration, hotel and flights will be covered. The purpose of the summit is to develop activist leaders and prepare them with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to lead a relevant and thriving association. 2017 National Race Amity Conference

The conference will be held Nov. 16-18 at the Boston Marriott Quincy, 1000 Marriott Drive, Quincy. The MTA has 25 scholarships available that will cover a portion of the registration cost and include meals and conference events. Scholarship recipients will be responsible for $75 and the cost of lodging. 2017-2018 NEA Minority and Women’s Leadership Training Conference EAST

The training will be held Oct. 27-29 at the Westin Peachtree Plaza, 210 Peachtree St. NW, Atlanta, GA. The MTA has six (6) slots available that are NEA-funded and that will cover the cost of registration, hotel and flights.
