Just for New Teachers Conference

The MTA New Member Committee is pleased to announce the 16th annual Just for New Teachers (JFNT) Conference, to be held at Worcester Technical High School on November 4, 2017. Curriculum and Instruction Advisory Update

The Curriculum and Instruction Advisory Committee advises the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction on issues relevant to educators.  The committee has met 4 times since February and has its last meeting for this school year scheduled for June 6.  To date, we have discussed curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional learning, and contributed to the development of a vision statement for the Office of Curriculum and Instruction.  We have discussed issues … [Read more...]

CEA Supports the Fight for Public Education

Over 50 educators, politicians and community members attended the forum "Whats Next in the fight for Public Education" last Thursday night at the Graham and Parks School.  The event was organized by the CEA Political Action Committee in conjunction with Indivisible Cambridge.  Senator Pat Jehlan and Representative Marjorie Decker were there to educate us about the issues and legislative agendas.  After an introduction, participants joined small groups to dig deeper into the issues … [Read more...]
